Sweet Potato Pizza Crust Recipe

May 18, 2017 by Carla Primero in Recipes

Eating clean doesn't have to be boring.  You'll love this Sweet Potato Pizza Crust Recipe.  It's amazing!  Only 3 major ingredients, and the rest is seasoning.  The light sweetness from the sweet potato taste delicious.  I recommend to meal prep the sweet potatoes the day before to save time.  This recipe is free of gluten, dairy, soy, grains, and sweeteners.  It's a healthy, nutrient packed pizza!

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup of mashed sweet potatoes (boil or bake)
1 cup almond flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 tablespoon of Trader Joe's 21 Seasoning Salute Spice
1/2 teaspoon Pink Himalayan Sea Salt
1/2 cup of Trader Joe's Organic Tomato Sauce
Toppings of your choice - I topped mine with nutritional yeast, and brussels sprouts cooked in EVOO, and sautéed with turmeric, sea salt, and pepper.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1.  Mix sweet potato, almond flour, and all seasonings in a large bowl.

2.  Spread into desired shape on parchment paper about 1/2 inch thick.

3.  Bake at 400 for about 20 minutes.  Until dough is slightly brown.  Broil for 2 minutes.  All ovens are different so give or take a few minutes for bake and broil.

4.  Spread sauce, and your toppings over your crust.  ENJOY!
